I recently had the privilege of photographing fellow photographer Kara Stovall’s beautiful twin girls. Not only did I enjoy photographing the twins, I really enjoyed getting to know Kara a little better (and I really enjoyed using her fancy D700.. I’m so jealous). Not only is Kara a great photographer, she’s a great person: authentic, generous and kind.
Kara, thank you so much for allowing me the honor of being the girls “1st” photographer… I know you will always be their favorite!! I can only hope that we do it again real soon!!

I have all of those things thanks to Laura. Laura is not only an amazing makeup artist, she’s also my close friend. I love her dearly. When she called me this winter and told me that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, I was shocked. Laura is one of the strongest, most generous, most positive people I’ve ever known. She continues to inspire me and lift me up. I am grateful for her friendship and I am proud of her for her determination and her courage. Here are some photos from her benefit this spring.
