I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little in the weeds. “In the weeds” is something you say when you wait tables. It means you’re slammed.. need to take a drink order, ring in the entrees and fill the ice-bin. That’s sort of the way I feel right now. So please forgive me if I am slow to blog. I will say that every time I post an entry I become more efficient at prepping the blog, thus making it faster and easier to post. I am constantly tweaking my work flow and trying to work smarter not harder.
That being said, the last couple of months have been rather intense from a personal perspective as well. Tasha and Kevin were married on April 18th, 2009 at the Myrtle Beach Hilton. On April 15th, my father had a massive heart attack. It really didn’t hit me until the following week exactly what had transpired. I knew I had to focus for Kevin and Tasha. I spoke to my dad that day and he assured me that I did not need to travel home and everything would be OK. Often the best way to deal with fear is to get out of yourself by doing something for somebody else.
Dancing with my dad on my wedding day was a big deal.. not nearly as big of a deal as it was the day he almost died. We have yet to know the value of our most treasured moments. My prayer is that I served Kevin and Tasha well to provide them a literal and real connection to a few of their most prized memories. And not only to Kevin and Tasha.. but to their families as well. Tasha.. you are truly one of the most beautiful brides I have ever photographed. Kevin.. I know sometimes life is bitter sweet, but know this.. I find your courage and strength to be encouraging and uplifting.
ENJOY and God Bless!
